Salt Awareness Week 2007
Resources
A fact sheet was developed to highlight the issues that remain around salt labelling and detailing how consumers can calculate the amount of salt in food when only sodium is labeled.
A poster was produced to highlight that there is still a large amount of hidden salt in foods and that consumers should check the labels and avoid foods with more than 1.25g of salt per 100g which is the Food Standard Agency's cut off point for describing a food as containing 'a lot of salt.'
For a copy of the poster and to order other CASH resources, please email cash@sgul.ac.uk*.
