'Salt and Your Health' - how salt can damage your health
As part of National Salt Awareness Week, on the 3rd February 2009 a lunchtime reception will be held at the House of Commons to discuss how salt can effect your health. guests will include representatives from retailers, food manufacturers, caterers, non-government organisations, MPs and Peers, Department of Health, Food Standards Agency, media and other stakeholders.
This was held at the House of Commons Terrace Marquee on Wednesday 3rd February 2010 12.15pm - 2pm hosted by Mary Creagh MP. This year the reception included speeches from Gillian Merron MP, Minister for Public Health, Tim Smith, Chief Executive of the Food Standards Agency and Dr Ailsa Welch, National Osteoporosis Society.
