CASH made the issue of salt and the older population the main campaign thrust for Salt Awareness Day 2005.
- To highlight the high salt intake of adults diets and to demonstrate where this salt comes from.
- To highlight the salt survey research that has been done on consumers perceptions of salt and their understanding of labelling.
- To encourage health promotion units, dieticians and other healthcare professionals to host their own events, to tie in with national salt awareness day. Posters, leaflets and other resources have been developed as part of our health professional's pack.
