This year as part of Salt Awareness Week, CASH held an evening reception at the House of Commons on Wednesday 18th March, hosted by Mark Menzies MP. The reception was attended by over 100 MPs, NGOs and members of the food industry, all sharing a common interest in salt reduction.
Speeches were made by Mark Menzies MP, Head of Nutrition for Children's Food Trust Patricia Mucavele, Celebrity Chef Cyrus Todiwala and Chairman of CASH Professor Graham MacGregor. We also had exhibition stands from Salt Awareness Week supporters the British Heart Foundation, Stroke Association, Low Sodium Sea Salt Company, Morrisons and others.
